About the Regina Photo Club

The Regina Photo club is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote the art of photography. The club offers opportunities for local photographers of all skill levels to meet and make connections with others who enjoy photography, and also to expand their skills through monthly fieldtrips, workshops, and presentations.

SaskAm is the club's annual photo competition. This is a province-wide competition which is open to amateur photographers residing in Saskatchewan. It is sponsored primarily by Saskatchewan-based businesses and organizations. In past years, approximately 5oo photographs have been entered into SaskAm to be adjudicated and then displayed in the exhibition. Cash prizes based on sponsorship are awarded to the winners as determined by a panel of judges.

This year, SaskAm entries will be displayed in the centre halls of the Golden Mile Mall in Regina, SK, where competitors, family, friends and all mall visitors may view the exhibition. The exhibition will begin at the beginning of May 2011, and will run for one week.
